Choosing between shared and dedicated servers

No website can do well without proper web hosts. You should also first determine what web hosts you need. Should they be dedicated servers or shared servers?

A shared web hosting account shares many web accounts simultaneously. Few servers can host up to a hundred accounts. Others can go mopping up a 1000 web sites. Shared hosting is a good alternative for small or medium groups who look to do small business which does not need to eat up complete server potential. Further shared servers are marked far below the dedicated servers. Shared web hosting accounts have negligible or no accessibility to the admin functions of a server.

A dedicated server runs one website generally It is completely dedicated to such operations which pertain to one or very few websites. You can also reach for core admin processes of the server if you are aligned to a dedicated server. You have to be entirely on your own, technical support wise when fixed to a dedicated server plan. Thus it is important to have one’s own IT staff or a server admin for able support provision. In absence of such facility, you have to hire someone who can do it for you. Many hosting companies offering dedicated servers arrange a per issue support as an adjunct. This includes paying a particular hourly fee for technical support. Others can offer technical support tickets in advance so that you can get an easy answer route to your query.

Dedicated servers also provide an option of “managed dedicated” hosting plan. With such a plan, you get the technical support required. In addition, the web hosting company also provides you with able guidance just as in the case of shared servers. This then is a top idea for companies who do not have an IT staff or an admin head and do not even wish to hire people oriented to achieve tech support purpose. It is natural to expect that the price of such managed hosting server is higher than the other one.

Dedicated servers are more or less mandatory for big corporate houses which require running complex scripts needing greater server compatibility. Further they provide feasibility of unlimited download as well as greater free domains. They can also have better technical features. Most of top web hosting companies has dedicated servers.

You also need to choose if your going to host with a Window or Linux. If you do decide on windows I would recommend Server Intellect for hosting or if needed they also offer Windows Dedicated managed Servers.
