Google has long been thought of as the ultimate company for innovation, especially when the innovation is done in such a way as to become free for the general public to use. Other companies have already plied through the waters of proprietary software and now that the world is making huge strides towards the open source software concept, Google Toolbar is something that people are starting to take a much closer look at.

Google is a company that enjoys playing around with ideas and allowing their fan base to test those ideas out before they actually implement them. Google Labs is an overall concept that allows them to get general ideas out for people to test and comment on and Gmail Labs is the same concept with the Google Mail service that people have been switching over to in a wholesale method across the entire way. The Google Toolbar has become a large enough part of the Google experience now that people working on the Google Toolbar software package feel that it is time to start taking that idea and applying it directly to Google Toolbar. The result has been the Google Toolbar Lab, which has already turned out the first two ideas for users to take a look at.

The first of these lab releases is a version of the Google Toolbar known as Google Toolbar with My Location. The basic premise of this is that it brings together the convenience that you get from the Google Toolbar and the excellent functionality that the My Location function has been displaying with people that know how to use it. The end result was that the Google Toolbar was available with My Location built right into it so that all you have to do in order to access the benefits of the My Location function is simply use the Google Toolbar that is always available right near the top of your browser window.

You can program the location in and then whenever you feel like using the My Location function, all you need to do is type in what you want to search for and My Location will function in the same way it would before. You can type in pizza and get a listing of all the pizza places close to you and of course you can do that with anything else that you might want to search for close to the actual location in question. The full functionality of My Location is there, but now it is also ultra-fast and ultra-convenient, thanks to the people that came up with the Google Toolbar Labs.

The simplified Chinese Toolbar is another example of a Google Toolbar Lab invention. The name is self-explanatory, as this toolbar represents the Google Toolbar in all its glory, with Simplified Chinese characters being used instead of English. It serves to make the web more international and that can only be a good thing for everyone involved in the long term.

Google Chrome is just another free web browser that is developed by Google and based on Webkit layout engine. The stable version is released on December 11, 2008 what is more interesting that it had a share of 1% of the browser market with its beta version.

What features should be added into Chrome to make it a better browser!

Extension Support: Today, a browsers does not offer only surfing on the net. There are extensions for Firefox which makes it very easy to customize even for an average computer user. What Google should do here is not to call developers to build extensions for Chrome. Instead, they should make their browser to be compatible with the existing Firefox extensions.

Customizable Skin: It would be another plus if users would be able to change UI of browser or download ready themes from Internet and setup it with one click.

Did you know that Chrome does now work under Mac and Linux? If Google want to get a place in the browser market, they should consider releasing different builds for each operating systems.

Support Mode: It is quite often that Firefox users have to switch their browsers to Internet Explorer or activate IEtab extension for certain web applications since they do not work with Firefox. Most of Webmasters started to build/re-structure their applications to make it compatible with Firefox. Chrome should find a way to prevent this problem in advance to make itself compatible with all applications.

Flash Applications: One of the biggest problem that Chrome is struggling with is handling of flash applications. The page is becoming no-longer accessible when Flash cause a problem. This is a big problem for those who likes to play online flash games on Internet. There must be taken some certain steps to fix that problem immediately.

Integration with Google Docs for documentation: That is hitting two birds with one stone. Google will definitely increase the usage of Docs if it would build all documentation on that application.

RSS Support: No need to write anything about that. It definitely need to support RSS.

Blaze media pro software is one of the most powerful conversion software available on the net. You are able to convert DVD to AVI, MPG, WMV but this is only one feature which is outclassed by the vast amount of other features available within the software. A second feature is the audio conversion which can convert;

CD MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, MPEG-4, AIFF, M4A, AAC, AC3, FLAC, and ALAC, and two-way conversions among MPEG-1, MPEG-2, AVI, WMV, ASF, Flash (SWF and FLV), iPod, PSP, 3GP, and MOV are available for video. MPEG options are available for VCD, SVCD, and DVD compliant output. All into an audio format, this is perfect if you have a lecture or audio book in a mpeg format when you need it in a mp3 format for your iPod or CD to play throughout the day.

Not only is there a high amount of converting systems but also strong, reliable and easy to use burning features, for example, the CD burning software along with the DVD burning software removes the need to use multiple programmes for each type. Both burning software’s come with a multitude of features that allow you not only to increase the length of video time by changing a few setting but also feature an easy drag and drop style system which makes adding the files you wish to burn even easier.

If you have a few home made videos or feel like editing some videos that are not yours you can also do with within the software in fact;

Video editing is available for AVI (uncompressed), AVI (compressed using any available codec), MPEG-1, MPEG-2, WMV, and ASF. Comprehensive video editing operations are provided (delete frame, delete selection, crop, resize, rotate, mirror, flip, trim, text overlay, adjust audio volume, etc.) which allow for each editing creating cool effects that will make your viewers envious. In addition, an extensive list of over 30 effects and color adjustment operations allow for powerful video enhancement and alternations. This means that you can turn your entire video green whilst detail is maintained by the shades of green replacing the dark and light colors.

Overall the blaze media pro all-in-one multimedia application offers conversion, ripping, editing, recording, burning, playback, and much more, all are easy to use and comes with easy to use quick icons for when you just want something done quickly.

Furthermore, the powerful yet easy to use audio, video, and data CD/DVD burning is all fully supported as well as VCD, SVCD, and DVD burning.

Other advanced features include video capture, video creation, combining, and extraction, video editing, copying of music CDs, audio and video merge (joining), MusicID audio recognition, lyrics search, audio tag editing, FreeDB support, and more.

If this seems like a lot of features to you just wait till you have the software installed for yourself. Not only will you find more features then you can shake a stick at you’ll also find all these features extremely easy to use. This simple, and yet complex design work brilliantly together to create the perfect all-in-one conversion software which takes minimum effort for maximum effect.

Windows 7 is the new Microsoft operating system that will be the successor of Windows Vista. The title is just a codename that is being used during development and Microsoft already confirmed that they will come up with another name once the release of the new operating system draws nearer.

Still a question to most users is why it is called Windows 7. The reason is really simple. It is called Windows 7 because Windows Vista is Windows 6 and Windows XP Windows 5. There is really no other reason behind the choice of the name

Microsoft is concentrating on the development of Windows Vista and is trying its best to keep the information about Windows 7 to a bare minimum to avoid hurting sales of Windows Vista.

Still some information are available and a great source for these information is the website Windows 7 News

Common hardware upgrades are adding a larger hard disks, installing additional or bigger memory (RAM), replacing CPUs, motherboards or graphics cards, and installing new versions of software, although many other type of upgrades are possible as well. All these things are parallel to a better performance. But what, if your hardware is slow due to some other installed softwares? Here I have listed few softwares those are most probably installed to many hardwares and their replacements that would work more efficiently.

Adobe Acrobat Reader
PDF format is created by Adobe in 93 with the purpose of document exchanging. By the late 90s PDF had become the de facto standard. Adobe Reader is available for free to download from the website of Adobe, and allows the viewing and printing of PDF files.

Adobe Reader is very powerfull but also space and resource hogging software. It is updated often which causes annoying warnings on startup to update it. You could swap the Adobe with Foxit Reader. It has short load time and very small file size and it use low resources when compared to Adobe Reader

Real Player
The first version of RealPlayer was introduced as ReadAudio Player in 1995, one of the first media players capable of streaming media over the Internet. It could be eve more popular than Youtube, if it would be taken the right steps on time. Merchant soul of RealPlayer that tries to sell Rapsody and SuperPass all the time, makes it to look such as adware. You can swap Real Player with Real Alternative that is created to play RealMedia files on Microsoft Windows without installing RealPlayer.

Internet Explorer
Welcome to the biggest war of the last 10 years. Firstly between Internet Explorer and Netscape (where Microsoft made his hands dirty to won it), and today, mostly between Firefox and Internet Explorer. Dirty hands this time will not work, since Microsoft has never been capable to do anything against Open source world. I am not going to write yet another compare between Internet Explorer and Firefox. Haven’t you switched your browser to Firefox yet?

Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft Outlook is quite slow has less options even when it is compared to Gmail. Obviously, Outlook also need a lot to improve its spam filter. Thunderbird (another great tool from Mozilla) is a great replacement to swap Outlook with.

Most people are unaware that when they delete files from recycle bin, they are not actually deleting them permanently. Files you have previously deleted are not really removed from your PC and they can easily be seen and retrieved.

Your PC contains lots of personal data such as passwords, address book, personal emails and few things that you wouldn’t like to share with others. If you want to render your files unrecoverable, you need to use a file shredder. To hit shift+delete doesn’t entirely removes files from your hard drive, although it will only remove the file from the root index.

Furthermore files that you have deleted still remains and kept in a hidden area on your hard drive and they can easily be recovered by “retrieval” programs even if you formatted your hard drive. Thus, you need to take certain measures, like installing “data shredding” programs to permanently delete files that should be secure (like files those contains credit card numbers, passwords, internet banking information…)

Here are some 2 free file shredders that you might want to check out.
File Shredder
This application is free for both personal and commercial use. It works with Windows 2000 and never versions. File Shredder supports multiple shredding algorithms up to 7 passes, US government compliant DoD 5220-22.M, Guttman method, shell integration on right click in Windows, Disk Wiper to shred unused free space.

HandyBits File Shredder
Simply drag&drop file(s) or entire folder(s) to Shredder’s icon on your desktop, confirm file deletion and nobody can find out what this file was about.

Since Windows Vista requires a decent hardware, you need to find out whether your hardware is compatible or not before upgrade. There are several ways to check compatibility of your computer.

As a quick solution you can check Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) website (Unfortunately you need to use Internet Explorer to open this link). This website contains a huge amount of computers and devices that have been tested to work with Windows Vista. The list contains bunch of categories and devices that you can search.

If you are an XP user, you can use Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor to check if your computer’s hardware is compatible with Vista or not. Once you downloaded this tool there will be few more step to run out. You should make sure that all USB devices (printer, scanner, webcam, etc…) are connected to your pc, so advisor can check theirs compatitibility as well. Right after being sure that everything is ok you can install software.

A shortcut will be placed on desktop. Launch the application and click ‘Start Scan’. When the Scanning is completed click on see details to see compatibility test result.

Are you having problems with windows update or signing/verification issues? Dial-a-fix is something what you have been looking for. Dial-a-fix is written for Microsoft Windows (32 bit) by DjLizard in Borland Delphi 7 and it helps you to repair various Windows problems;

1. Windows Update errors and problems with Automatic Updates
2. SSL, HTTPS, and Cryptography service (signing/verification) issues
3. COM/ActiveX object errors and missing registry entries

You dont need any technical guidance to start to use Dial a fix since it is quite safe even if you are on beginner level. Collection of fixes has been gleaned from Microsoft Knowledgebase articles adn the important support forums. All you need to do is just to check the fix from the check box list and click GO. And the rest will be done by software (Yes, you heard correct. It is that easy)

DAF works on all pertinent 32-bit versions of Windows: 98, 98SE, Me, 2000, XP, and Server 2003. Dial-a-fix dynamically disables functions that are not applicable to your version of Windows. The version of Windows with the most support and functionality is currently Windows XP.

Dial-a-fix is 100% freeware to use and redistribute as long as the file is unmodified and as long as no money is being charged for access to the file.
