There is a longstanding discussion around the blogsphere as how often a blog should be updated? Every bloggers has different responses to that question.
If you don’t have anything to say, don’t post anything.
The most important variable that would bring you success is the quality of your content, that contains original ideas, clear instructions, breaking news, etc…
Publish something only when you have something to say. Your loyal readers will subscribe to your RSS feed. And they will expect to receive good quality content, rather than receiving lots of posts, where to many headlines would may become flooding into their feed reader. And that could cause them to drop you off.
Unfortunately, there is not an exact answer to that question. For some fellow bloggers the correct answer is once a day to once a week. But most of advisers recommending to keep posting frequency on 3 to 5 times per week.
But of course, the frequency of posting is also up to topic of your blog. If you are running a news blog that waits 1 week to talk about “how google bought ebay” wouldn’t be that successful.
