Bad hosting and pathetic service representatives

Everyday we hear new stories about the problems people pass through with their Hosting companies and/or registrars. Some of the campaigns get serious hits like nodaddy which has been dedicated to exposing problems with GoDaddy.

Most probably, we all have been passed (maybe passing) through a bad hosting experience. And I bet most of us had this experience with Dreamhost. God, I forgot howmany times they had maintenance break and took my site down or very slow. That is why I’ve moved my hosting to Hawkhost and so far I am very happy with their reliable service.

Another tired customer of Dreamhost, Keith over Techie Buzz had a small experience with the 1&1 Web Hosting and BlueHost when he decided to switch his hosting company. The results, surprisingly leaded him to pathetic service representatives and he decided to share his dialogs that he had during his research.

If you are going to purchase a hosting for your website, first of all, try to contact with support desk to see how fast they respond and do they have enough technical knowledge to assist you? After that check feedbacks around google to find out if they have any serious negative comments. Do not take prices and offered packages as base to buy a hosting. A webhost that is not reliable would definitely cause you to lose your visitors.

I would recommend hosting services by eCredible Hosting at http://www.ecrediblehosting.com .

The back-end is loaded with options and ease of use. I’ve tried Hostway, HostMySite, and Dreamhost and always had problems. The other plus is that I found when you register a domain name, it’s almost instantly available to use. Unlike the other hosting companies that I listed, usually takes them 24 hours or so to get things up and running for you.

eCredible Hosting is fast. And also for this month (June 2008) they are giving away 2GB Flash Drives free when you purchase their 150GB Plan at only $7/mo. Go with these guys!

Good read! you know after years of moving around back and forth from host to host I decided to get a dedicated server. Dedicated is the way to. First off you never have to worry about maintenance, its your server, you can bring it up and down as you please. Second you never have to worry about some others guys website taking you down because he is hogging the resources on the server. And third you will always have better support. I run my server with Server Intellect. Support is phenomenal. The nice thing is it is managed which means I have some hardcore techs to help me out if I do run into issue. Plus as a developer I don’t have to worry about asking my host to install the newest version of this or that, I can install beta if I want. Dedicated you cant beat it!
