Another week is going to start. And I still don’t like Mondays. It has been the hardest day of the week so far. Never get used to wake up early. Yeah, need to establish my own company. And maybe, then I can set my own work schedule. For those who doesn’t know yet, I do work as a part of Quality Assurance team in a software development company.

Does it confuse you? I never worked in a Web Design company so far. But web design has been my biggest hobby and I love coding. Recently, I was working with a Graphic Designer, and he was surprised to hear that I don’t use Photoshop either. I don’t know you folks, but I dont go around of a PSD file first and the start to code it. I do start coding with Notepad++, and I usually take my previous design as base while developing another one.

One more thing, I finally created a twitter account for myself.  I also started to re-design my blog. This time my new design will be based on WpShowcase theme.

After the release of WpShowcase, I decided to build up a video theme and release them both as package of multimedia series. The structure of both sites are kept same so they both can be integrated into one site easily.

Did you know, that WordPress allows a single post to be split into different web pages. It is a great feature for those who doesn’t want to display a long article in one page. To be able to split an article into different pages you need to do is to type

into the HTML editor where you want your page split to appear. You can use it in a long post to make it two, three or five pages. Navigation between pages will appear as below

By default, WordPress excerpt feature removes all format and displays first 55 words of written article. For some SEO reasons, it is good to display excerpt on home and archive pages.

To enable excerpt feature on home and archive pages, open your index.php file and look for the following line.

<?php the_content(); ?>

replace it with;

<?php if ($single) { the_content(); } else { the_excerpt(); } ?>

This code will display post content only on individual post pages.

Being new to e-junkie did things little hard at first, but I’ve finally gotten things in place. It seems that they have a very user friendly affiliate system.

Firefox is the first software that I install in my computer when it comes to reinstalling of Windows. Then Gimp, Filezilla and other programs follows each other. The only reason why I keep Internet Explorer on my computer is testing purposes for the websites that I design.

So far Firefox has been my favouritte browser and as you have probably noticed that version 3 will be released soon.
